The Lahontan Community Foundation announced the outcome of their 2016 grant cycle, resulting in 18 grants totaling $110,757 to local and regional organizations.
Working within the Parasol Tahoe Community Foundation, Lahontan Community Foundation selects non-profit organizations offering educational, cultural, environmental, health and human service needs in the community, to fund.
The Lahontan Grants Committee is made up of Lahontan Community Foundation board members. Since 2002, the foundation has raised more than $1.5 million.
In 2016 Grants were awarded to:
Aim High, Barcelona Soccer Club, Boys & Girls Club, Family Resource Center of Truckee, Gateway Mountain Center, Girls on the Run, Humane Society of Truckee Tahoe, Lake Tahoe Music Festival, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, North Tahoe Family Resource Center, Pet Network, Sierra Senior Services, Slow Food Lake Tahoe, SOS Outreach, Sugar Pine Foundation, Tahoe Institute For Natural Science, Tahoe SAFE Alliance, Truckee Day.
